After graduating high school I lived in Japan for two years teaching Bible-based English lessons as a part of the AIM program. Trained as a pastry chef, after which I went to work as a dental assistant. My husband and I just celebrated our ninth anniversary and we have two beautiful daughters with whom I stay home.
The slippers turned out well and were well received. They did turn out to be the right size to fit the recipient in about three years, but you can't get everything right.
Sounds like the gift that keeps that keeps on giving to me! :)
So I thought of you the other day, because I picked up a free knitting sock pattern at Hobby Lobby. It is such a cute pattern! Now all I have to do is learn to knit. Maybe after I catch up on all the baby and wedding gifts I have piling up around me!
Those are awesome slippers. My mum used to show up the clothes people had mistakenly made/bought for us that were too big and we were allowed to look at them when we wanted and try them on periodically. Or sometimes she put them in a big box, marked them with the year, and waited for a rainy day around that time:) Having two sisters and a host of female relatives who sew kind of helps this along...
